Exploring the Way

This is not about trying to convert people to a religion. Held over four evenings, Exploring The Way is a safe, accepting place for people with questions to listen, explore about God and make up their own mind.
Religion puts people off relationship with God. We only ever see Jesus angry when he is conffronting the religious people of his day, telling them to stop putting barriers in people's way. So, rather than adherence to a set of beliefs or a moral code what we are exploring is the life and words of Jesus and how this can be relevant to us today. There is no doubt he was a historical figure and his wise teachings have formed culture and communities for two millennia. What can be a puzzle is how we can live as he taught and if it is possible to have an authentic relationship with God, as Jesus described.
The gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the eye witness accounts of those who were there at the time. In their accounts we discover Jesus to be a fascinating person who said and did some extraordinary things. He is a captiviating figure and if he really is who he claimed to be then it is well worth us exploring more and see if it really is possible to genuinely know him today.
